It could be the resistor pack or something called the sword. What you have depends on the year and model of your car. If you don't get a response on this board, call your dealer and ask. I'm not sure what you have. However, here's a URL that discusses their replacement.


My 91 535 heater fan switch ( the four speed rotary type )has quit on all but the highest speed. Bloke in the pub says this is fan rheostat failure and I'll have to buy a new motor. Anyone know better?
