Its your sports suspension...convert it back to stock and the noise will be gone :0)

If you mean engine fan noise...mine does the same. I presume that the clutch for the fan disengages at higher rpm/speeds. When the weather is really hot the car will be a little more sluggish due to the high ambient air temperature.

G'day All,
I think this is a common thing but want to know if there is a way of getting rid of that fan noise. My car is an 89 535I and in stop start traffic the fan makes a loud whirring noise until about 3000rpm then you can't here it. The car also feels more sluggish when hot. Any ideas peoples?
