As I speak it is 44c outside. So TJ,

1. Turn the air conditioning off, its placing a load on the engine.

2. Turn the engine off and the noise is guaranteed to go away.

Bad news this noise is part and parcel of driving a 535i. Good news is 525i doesn't have that problem. :)
