Intermittent Computor Problem (archive)

I have a 86 535i and the computer is giving me a problem that i do not know when it is going to quit. I am sure it is the computer because I have checked everything else and only when I dismantle the computer and reseat the chip will it work for a while. The question is does any one have experience with the computer problems and how did you resolve your problem. Note the computer is a Bosch 0261 200 059 alt number on computer is 1 705 619.9 (078)
