The odometer reading will be reset to the donor car's mileage.

If the donor is auto and yours is a stick, a TRANS PROGRAM fault will light up everytime the car is started.

Because the coding plug is for a different car/engine, some of the readouts like tachometer, fuel consumption, range, will not be accurate.



I have a '89 525i and would like to replace the motherboard with one from a '93 5-series. Will it work? I'm really not concerned about the different odometer readings. Please advise. Thanks.
