My 1991 model 535 has a cell phone antenna that is attached to the top of the rear windshield. The cell phone has not been used in this vehicle for at least 5 years and now I want to remove the antenna.

Can anyone comment on how the antenna is fastened to the windshield? Is it glued on? There isn't a hole drilled throught the windshield is there? Not likely, I'm sure.

Your comments will be appreciated as the 12 inch coiled stick antenna is starting to bother me. It is time for it to go.

The one that was on my 530iT was fastened with double-sided tape on each side of the window. The coiled stick could be screwed off separately. I used a razor blade to get the antenna off.

YMMV,
