Suspension upgrade advice (archive)

I am considering upgrading my suspension in my 95 540i with 70k. I have looked through a lot of the posts and haven't decided whether to go with H&R lowering springs/Bilsteins and larger sway bars(pieced together), or go with a tuner package, Dinan most likely. Besides the obvious price differences, is there a noticeable difference from the Tuner setups to Hybrid setups. I haven't yet driven the car on a track, but I do prefer a stiffer ride during normal daily driving conditions. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks in advance for your input.
