By question, let me see if I can help.

1) I believe you have the ellipsoid fogs right? If so, then yes the glare shield is on the bottom. The lens inverts the beam.

2) You can order new outter lens from many places. I think I paid $45 for one from Bavarian Autosport.

3) Bav Autosport will sell you 100watt H1's. Try www.rallylights.com for an alternative source. Anything more than 100watts will likely require heavier wires and relays. Do us all a favor too...if you're going to run high wattage bulbs, be sure to make sure they are correctly aimed. Bruno's site has instructions - http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Maintenance/Electrical/Headlight_adjustment.htm

Cheers!

First question, is the glare shield supposed to be on the top or the bottom of the fog light? Took mine appart today and the glare shield was on the bottom, and that seems wrong to me.
second question. I need to get new glass lenses and mounting brackets. Should I find some place online to get them, or just go to the dealer? what should I expect to pay for them?
third question, where is the best place to get 100W H1 bulbs? Can I run something higher than 100W in the fogs?

thanks
