My CE light has come on 3-4 times over the last week, only for a few seconds at a time. All fuids are fine, the block was replaced two weeks ago by BMW and the car has 29k on it. It runs flawlessly - any ideas? Sensor?


My CE is doing the same thing and my block was replaced 30K miles ago and my O2 sensor replaced 8K miles ago. I would like some ideas also. Do you think the CE is programmed to come on after 30K for a scheduled checkup?


Is all this covered by warranty? Isn't it 8 years on emissions?


I checked the warranty on my car with the original dealer and everything is expired. They also want to charge $92.00 to hook it up to the computer for analysis. I'm wondering if one of those tune up devices you can buy yourself would be worth it.
