They are the ATP TYPE 5 from Tirerack. I sometimes don't think they are that fancy like a few others that I have seen, but I must say these are some very STRONG rims. I live in the NY/NJ area and I've hit some very big potholes - the wheels didn't even flinch !! With my suspension setup, I ran the 15ers for awhile so I am able to compare. The 17ers are heavier, of course, and technically speaking they should hinder performance, but it's not noticeable. I have just recently sold that car and bought a 92 5spd(got lucky) and will be doing that setup again, unless someone can really convince me otherwise.

Thanks for the info. I am running Blizaks with the stock rims and the ride is fine with the Bilsteins and H&R Springs. Running performance tires should give a much better ride than the Blizaks? I just installed the suspension last week so I don't how it will be with performance tires.

Your car looks great. Are those ATP Type 5's or Real M Rims. Are they 17x8? No performance drop off with that set-up. I had a 88' 535is with 16x8 Mille Migia MII with 225/50/16 and noticed a real difference in off line performance.
