There is no way to install the new pads without diassembling the rear brake calipers. Its really easy! First you remove the rubber dust covers from the rear of the caliper. Second, unscrew the round (chrome)(torx) guide rails, and slide them out. the caliper should then come apart and you can replace the pads and put it back together.

Hello,

I just tried to change the rear brake pads on my 1992 525i. However, I couldn't find anyway that the both new pads would fit into the available opening.

Is there a trick to it?
