If you don't have a dip stick you probably need to put the fluid in via a plug on the side of the transmission pan. So it will be kind of inconvient for you to stop every 4 miles to add some. Also if it's making noise I would advise against driving it.


You could take two quarts of fluid with you and stop every 4miles and add a quart but it might be risky. You fill it in the dipstick tube.

Got to get it about 8 miles, car seems to drive fine ....just some fluid and noise coming out of the tranny.
Also , I couldnt find a place to refill my 89-535ia with new fluid ...Is it hidden???
