Manual transmission:
You have a location on the differential or the gearbox to fill it up, remove the bolt, stick your finger inside and you should touch the oil.
If you can't feel the oil, add some more with a seringe.

This is a DIY, no need to bring it to the mechanic (I hate them anyway, always leaving finger prints...)
