I installed a set of Schroth four-point harnesses that I got for cheap at the O'fest silent auction. They really hold you to the seat and do keep you in place during hard lateral maneuvers, provided they are on good and tight. Installation was easy, it only took me an hour to do it. I'd recommend a set.
By the way, I know exactly what you're talking about in regards to seating position at driver's schools. I'm 6'8" and even with my seat all the way down my head is jammed into the ceiling when I have my helmet on. I really need to get a set of sport seats that sit lower in the car. I had a set of MoMo RS-2's but they came with the wrong bracket and I was unable to get one that fit, so they had to be returned. Right now I'm looking for a set of Recaro's (preferably). Have any leads?
