As Rico posted below it is not "climate control" in the true sense of the word as the system does not automatically turn on the aircon when required. Bmw refered to it as "Auto Air".

I believe that you can overide the passenger side settings by setting the drivers side control to Full cold or full heat but anything else in between should give you dual contol. I think you also need to have the air distribution buttons set to "auto".

I have the system in our car and it does provide 2 seperate temperature zones quite effectively.

I can be/is an absolute bas***d to work on.

Can anyone tell me how the dual zone climate control system works? I have noticed that the temp seems to be only controlled by the left dial; the right (passenger) dial does nothing to control the heat or temp. Is this normal, or is something wrong with the system...operation...owner...
