Joe,

Total ended up being $5900. Probably was a little over in labor. Insurance paid for it, and it was a good shop (lots of late model $$ European cars).

WOW Chris,
You are right the damage is almost identical, and the prices sound about the same. How much was your whole job or did u get it fixed yet? My is suppose to cost $4,969.06. He said he is gonna blend the left and right fenders to match the rest of the car. I hope they do a good job caise i have to pay for it out of my pocket, well good luck with your car Chris.

Joe,

I can appreciate how you're feeling... I hit a deer a couple of months ago - very similar damage -- Pass fender, hood, hood hardware, all grille stuff, A/C condenser & fan, radiator support and cooling fan. Brand new OEM parts were totalled about $2500 (I think).

Here is what I can remember for this "big stuff"
530i/540i Hood - $488
Pass fender - $340
A/C Condenser $500 !!!
Hood hinge/tube $ 88
Grille Stuff/Lights $500 ??

Obviously, used in great condition would be the way to go for most of the parts.

The real challenge is how to get the pieces painted so they match -- particularly with the metallic paint. How do you get the parts painted EXACTLY to match, including the nooks and crannies and potentially blend the doors if you're putting on the parts yourself? Maybe a couple of trips back and forth to the body shop could work?

Good luck!
