Does anyone have any recomendations/experience with
performance chips in an 89 535I AUTOMATIC ?

:Yes, Jim Conforti chip in my '89 535iA

Is a 2nd chip for the trans needed ??

:Not really necessary, although a trans chip will change shift points, it is possible to do this yourself with the sport/manual modes on the transmission.

Are low end power increases possible as well ??
Does top speed increase ??

:The JC chip works throughout the power band, although I have noticed the chip works best above 3500 rpm. The rev limiter will be deleted with the use of the chip, however the "trans program" with the automatic transmission will keep the shift points in check, unless you are in manual mode.

Thanx
:You're welcome.
