My car's OBC shows 16.7 combined, which includes me being a leadfoot, and some freeway fun tailing a dealer-demo Volvo S80 out on a 'spirited' test drive. I wasn't impressed, I out-accelerated the thing the whole time. My MPG reading for city only would be horribly low, I shift late and drive hard. My 50 mile freeway commute to work is the only thing that saves me.

Love that $2.06 gallon of Chevron Supreme!


What is the average consumption I should expect in town driving with a 1989 535i auto.
