I plan on rectifiying the CD changer, wheels, and roof rack situation, and am curious about the possibility transplating other parts such as the OBC from a wrecked donor car.
There's a big plus side to the "leatherette" and that is that it wears much better than leather - the interior on my 95 still looks brand new. (and with it transporting a baby around now, the durability is a good thing :). Alas, it appears heated seats were not an option with the leatherette.
Another upside is that, according to my mechanics, is that the car is very quiet compared to the dual sunroof cars.
The downside of course is those beautiful spring days (like today) that beg for the roof to be opened up....
I have an aftermarket (ASC) single panel sunroof that I mistakenly thought was factory (the installation is awesome and I thought the red button labeled ASC was the traction control. DOH!) I also have 'leatherette' (what kind of marketing crap is that?), no wood, no basketweaves, no OBC, no CD changer, etc. No leaks/ problems with the sunroof. I've been putting Wurth rubber cleaner on the gasket and surround every couple on months after waxing the car, just to keep the seal in shape.
