That's your ASC light. Has it ever lit up? I have no idea if it's in the 93 525i, but it's in my 94 525i. When the light blinks, it means ASC is on. ASC is.... Automatic Stability Control (I think?) and it's a form of traction control. If your tires are spinning and you have ASC, that light should start blinking and tell you it's working to keep your car stable.

If the light is on steady, that means your ASC is shut off. there should be a little switch for it to the left of your gear shifter, assuming you have an automatic. I have no idea where it is on a manual.


I have noticed a little light in between the tach and speedo. It's a circle with an exclamation point in the middle, what's that for? And does a '93 525i have traction control? every time it's wet, and my tires begin to spin, the rear end feels like it's hopping or something, anyone had the same experience or know what's up?
