Most '92 models are still on the original shocks. Therefore, you should expect to be in need of a complete set of new shocks. If you purchase the shocks from a good mail order supplier and get the original equipment Boge model, you will spend about $500 for the parts. That includes the four shocks and new bump stops and rod covers.

If you can't do the shock replacement work yourself, you will be in for a fairly steep service bill.

Caution, don't try to get by with worn shocks as the stability of the car over bumps and in emergency situations is compromised. Ask me how I know. I just bought a '93 model 525 with 128k and worn shocks.
