Yeah, I guess I could put "Powered by the small company that General Motors should have bought in 1965" on the back of my NSU Wankel-powered RX-7 12A, right? Funny, the roundel isn't enough for some folks, I guess.

That would be pretty funny. Maybe a little sticker that said "Powered by Felix" with a little Felix the Cat on it. I remember reading about how GM was seriously considering purchasing the rights to the rotary, then backed out. I think they even built some prototypes during the deal. Something about the gas crisis and fuel economy, and they couldn't justify it. Thank goodness for Mazda, however quirky they were. Dad had a Rotary Pickup, '74 I think. That was my first experience with a rotary. It got lousy mileage, but went like stink.
