1991 525 FOR SALE (Orange County, CA) (archive)

Good home wanted for my wife's 1991 525i. Well cared for by the dealer (when in warranty), a solid local factory trained mechanic (when out of warranty), and a devoted BMWCCA member (me, when able!). Its got 134,000 southern California freeway miles on it, and looks and runs like a champ. New within the last two years are: battery, fuel lines from tank to injector rail, replaced all cooling hoses, coolant, and radiator, new struts, rotors, pads, and brake fluid, 02 sensor, and tires. This car has had regular oil changes throughout its life and I've got a file full of all service records.

In addition to the well cared for mechanicals, the car has always been kept in a garage--black exterior, black leather interior, tinted windows, 6-stack factory CD am/fm, and sunroof.yes, it has some blemishes, but nothing you'd see if you were'nt looking for it - more normal wear and tear type stuff.

It has truly been a great car for us, but we're moving up to a used 740 and the garage space next to my '02 needs to be freed up. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car on a cross country trip tomorrow--I'm that confident in its condition. It would make a fine everyday commuter as a respectable main ride or perfect for the kid going off to college this fall.

All this said, I know the miles are getting up there and the resale on it won't be what I'd like or what I think it is probably worth, so I want to be realistic. I'd like to get at least $8700 for it. Lets talk. Give me a call at the office at 714-990-7758 or drop an email to cinnabar02@aol.com.
