1) I believe most US models don't have a split/folding seat. Maybe Euro or Canadian models do. You may have a ski bag in-between the rear seat coming in from the trunk so check for that. That'd be a bonus.
2)I'm not sure I understand your question. The vanity mirrors on mine slide open and shut and the light is on only when the parking lights are on if the cover is slid open. If this is the case you might try, CAREFULLY, prying/pushing to get the cover to slide shut.
3) The factory alarm system is located on the driver's side under the rear seat. You can look under there by sitting lightly on the left and right side of the rear seat and pulling on the seat cushion straight up towards your butt. It will pop loose. There is quite a bit of electrical items, plus the battery under there. If you have the alarm it will be an obvious small black box, maybe about 4x6 with a short antenna.
4) Whats the red thing in the center console toward the back? Hmm, I think you mean the light bulb cover for the factory alarm that blinks when it is activated.
5) Whats the black thing in the center console toward the back? I don't know what you're referring to, maybe the rear vents for the back seat??
6) HOW DO YOU MAKE THE CAR VENTALATE AIR WHEN YOU LEAVE????? Uhh, leave the windows open.
Just kidding. I looked in my manual and I couldn't find anything on that. I believe if you have Automatic Climate Control you may have this option, in which case it would just be a button you push 'on'.
I hope this helps some. I also have a 1992 and I would recommend you get an owners manual since it sounds like you don't have one, try the board or eBay. You also need a Bentley Manual for your car, anywhere between $55-75, depending on where you buy it. It will pay for itself pretty fast if you're even remotely mechanically inclined. Also bookmark Bruno's most excellent website at www.bmwe34.net on your computer. An idespensible resource for maintenance and upgrades information.
Good luck and welcome,
