I/d suggest to choose car fm individual seller , not from the dealer , since there is at least 10%
to 15% markup fm dealer's price , but you then need a good mech to help checking all aspects . one key point is , when directly talk to the owner you will know some tips , if should not buy HIS ( or HER ) car .
Of course , ask questions how he maintains that car and check all records if match .

ok...im about to buy my first BMW....but im kind of under a budget:

about $5500 for the car +2500 for possible repairs/maintenance ...or some of it could go into the cost of the car if needed

i want moderate power (not too high...since gas prices are supposed to go up to 3$/gallon this summer and i want something with decent gas mileage)

hehe...of course "moderate" bmw power can outdo many many american cars ;)

i also want something that is fairly dependable and solid...and won't be too high maintenance..

any suggestions on what type of car i should get?
