We have a '01 Mercedes E430 Sport, a '95 540 and a '01 540i - and both BMWs are equipped with the 6-speed gearbox. A car to me is just a car, as I grew up with BMWs, Porsches and Mercedes (my dad is a crazed fanatic spending all our money on these expensive machines) - but whenever I take these two BMWs to our local dealer of 12 years and about 8 BMWs, the service guys always seem to make this statement...
You don't drive a 5-series... you drive a 540.
What's the big deal???
I am just a 17-year old kid - help me understand...
