Typically a clean one goes for $7,000 or so, although if you search long and hard you will eventually find a bargan.
None of these cars are cheap to run, but the 535 is amazingly durable. Gas milage is in the 12-21mpg range depending on how and where you drive. Part prices aren't too bad if you shop around and all (well almost all) the parts are still available. If you like to keep your car in good condition, expect some sort of repair almost every month with prices in the $100 to $400 range.

ok...im about to buy my first BMW....but im kind of under a budget:
about $5500 for the car +2500 for possible repairs/maintenance ...or some of it could go into the cost of the car if needed
i want moderate power (not too high...since gas prices are supposed to go up to 3$/gallon this summer and i want something with decent gas mileage)
hehe...of course "moderate" bmw power can outdo many many american cars ;)
i also want something that is fairly dependable and solid...and won't be too high maintenance..
any suggestions on what type of car i should get?
