What is the widest tire I can put on 16x8 wheels from an E38 without scraping. I went to a few tire shops on line and all of them recommended 225/55/16. I was thinking about maybe about somthing a little wider like 245/50/16. I was unable to locate 235/XX/16. I know there will be some speedometer error, so I would like to keep the error as low as possible.

Any E23, E24, E28, E31, E32 and E38 will fit your E34 without any modification.
