car is dying? (archive)

Hi
I have a 90 535i with 104K miles, it's been a strong car, but last night all of a sudden, a loud whine noise came when i stopped at a light,drive shaft?? it went away when i give it a little gas, but alot of weird noises still persist, my last check(inspection 2) was at 100K with no apparent problems. it drives but i'm afraid there's going to be bad news. i am taking to the shop on monday, any ideas?
