this only means that the refineries did away with the MTBE formula, and the $3 per gallon gas price is the result of the more expensive alcohol-based additives on the gasoline...

MTBE destroys not only the environment, but also your car's rubber parts on the fuel lines (fuel pump, etc).

Has anybody done research on what ALCOHOL-based gas will do to the nicasil engines???
