Gee....$5500...he must have really smashed it. There really isnt any other bumper to get.....I mean there are bodykits...but if you wanted a rear bumper from a bodykit...then it would be pointless not to add the front spoiler and side skirts from the bodykit...but of course insurance wont pay for that.

I have a 1993 525i that was recently rear-ended by another driver. His insurance is paying for the repairs which amount to $5500. I thought I might ask everyone if I should see if I can have the bumper replaced with maybe a different rear bumper (i.e. bodykit). Does anyone think I should change the rear bumper to a different one, and if so, do you think the insurance would still pay for the value of the stock bumper? Just thought I would ask, in case this is doable.
