I replaced both my thrust arm bush yesterday.RH side was OK but LH was shot.Replaced both anyways.I would advise you to have the the whole arm removed and the ball joint inspected for wear.If worn, replace the whole arm assy with 750 bushing installed(as advised by this board).Otherwise replace just the bush.Bush replacement requires a hydraulic press.

I've got to change my front left wheel bearing. Do they have to be replaced in pairs? Also, is it easy to remove without the special BMW wheel hub remover? Secondly, if I've never changed my thrust arm bushings before, is it easy to remove without again... the BMW bushing press? Or should I just get the whole thrust arm with the bushings installed? Bavauto is my usual supplier. FYI, '94 530i with 84k miles. Any and all info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
