yup, not that. Its strange that it's still readable, just real dim...you'd think if it was a bulb or ground strap it would be completely out or lit strangely. Probably time to rip apart the dash.

I assume you are aware about the instrument cluster brightness adjustment thumbwheel located at the LH side of the cluster?Otherwise it could be a bad ground for the cluster brightness circuit.Don't know location tho'.

Anyone run into this. I have an 89 535 and the instrument panel readout (the one directly in the center) just stays dim. Once on a blue moon it will brighten up but usually is barely readable. Is there a bulb back there for just that one readout or an adjustment for brighness somewhere or something else? Anyone run into this before?
