What to do? Complete thrust arms or just bushings? (archive)

I was on a long drive last weekend, and I could feel it for the first time... THE SHIMMY. Strange how it occurs just in that 80-100km/h range. BMW engineers must have overlooked something here.

Anyway, balljoints seem allright. Is it worth the time and effort only to do the bushings, or do I replace the complete thrust arms? In other words: How many of you have done the bushings, and suffered from worn balljoints shortly after?

Regards,
Jone
