Was looking at 94-95 540's when I heard about the problems with the engines. Posted hear and Bruno recommended a 535. Investigated and decided to go with the 535.

Bought an 1989 535 - 5 speed. Should I put a chip in it and if so which one is best across the board?

I had a 94 530. It had a bad engine and I had to get rid of it. I have a 535i with a Conforti chip. It kicks in about 4000 RPM. It's nice
