tis. I'm curious how many people have broken the retainer on that side following the bentleys?

I cannot tell you how much I appreciated your assistance on the removal of the onboard computer.

I have spent a few days working on the replacement of the stereo head unit and I was ready to reinstall when I remembered I had wanted to replace the lights in the onboard computer. I had previously purchased the replacement bulbs (qty.2)and thought there wouldn't be much of a problem removing the computer.

I worked with it for about 20 minutes before deciding I was about to break off plastic pieces. Your detailed advise allowed me to get the unit out within 5 minutes. It took me 5 minutes to feel my way to the right side lever and to get a tool on it to push with.

Once I pushed on the right side as you had suggested, the unit came right out.

Unfortunately the bulbs I had purchased don't match the ones in the unit. So its back to the dealer tomorrow for the bulbs and then I can get the new stereo head unit in.

Once again, thank you.
