I was talking exhaust with my muscle-car buddy (drives a '70 Monte Carlo with suspension & power mods), and he was telling me that a lot of muscle cars install "x-pipes" to balance out cylinder pressures, making the engine more efficient and even getting a little more power out of it. Would this be worth installing, or are either the cats or resonator "communal" (ie, shared airflow from both pipes) and balance out any pressure differences from unequal-length exhaust manifolds? Bill, I know you opened up that cat for a customer, what do you think? Just curious, he said this would also quiet exhaust noise down, which wouldn't be too bad, it's plenty loud. :)
