My '95 Touring has a sandblasted windshield after 77K miles, and now that I'm driving into the sun both to and from work, it's driving me nuts. Is it replacement time, or has anyone had any luck with polishing? I guess that you'd need to polish the enitre surface down to the level of the pits, which ought to be impossible, but I figured I'd ask.

: I have used it on two different cars. It will help. Of course if the pits or scratches in your windsield are too deep, that can't be fixed. One word of advice. If you do this, you have to keep the glass wet, do not polish it dry. Also keep a couple of towels at the base of the windshield to catch the polishing material. It will be a mess and the stuff is a fine silicate and will make a mess. The thought of all of it washing down the vent area, made me use the towels. It is so fine it should just wah right though the bottom drain, but why chance it, especially if the drain may be partially clogged anyhow.
