The coolant temperature sensor for the Motronic is the one nearest the head on the thermostat housing. Bentleys gives resistance values of 270 to 400 ohms when warm (176F) and 2100 to 2900 ohms cold (68F), Ref. e32 Bentleys pg. 130-15

Using the stomp test, fault code 1223 tells me that I have a defective coolant temperature sensor.
A) Which unit is it on the water pump housing and
B) Can someone look up in a Bentley and tell me what readings I should have?
Before I go buy a new one, I want to make sure I am replacing the right one
