Other alternative if you're really worried would be an electric aux oil pump as per drag racers, to pre-pressurise the system before start-up... other thing I've noticed with my 735 is that it's like my olf BMW bike - very sensitive to the age/viscosity of the oil. On Valvolline 10-50w the light was staying on a good 2-3 secs longer at the end of the service interval...

Remember that leaky check valve on my M30 oil filter canister that was causing the oil pressure light to take too long to go off at startup? After replacing the canister the problem went away?
Well, it's back, suddenly, out of the blue. Took the canister lid off the next morning, and found a completely drained filter. Therefore, same problem all over again on a six-month old canister.
So much for the redesigned valves. I sure hope that the dealer has some kind of warranty on this part, at $300 a pop I'm not inclined to replace them over and over again.
That, or my engine's haunted.
