Hi Max,

I have tried the basics; cleaned valve as best as I could, checked the o-rings, metal seats, etc. What is odd about this, and is applicable to all scenarios, is the abrupt and intermittent nature of the problem.

This morning, the light behaved just fine. This was exactly how the problem manifested itself before so it points to a check valve that is temperamental.

Siphoning through the oil pump is unlikely as the check valve is directly in its path. Gravity alone can drain the canister, even if the siphon path is broken.

I'm going to call Pacific BMW, where I bought the canister and see what they have to say about it.

Thanks for the inputs.

Regards,
Adnan
