I've made the second attempt to remove my fan clutch. This time I went out and bought BMW's tool to hold the fan clutch pulley. This didn't fit so only one bolt head would drop in a hole. With one bolt head and leverage against the fan clutch nut, I could keep the pulley from turning. I put a 32mm Parke wrench on the nut and applied as much force as I could (turning clock-wise as viewed from front of car, since it is lefthand thread). Then I took a hammer and begin to hit the wrench. All this did was fracture my wrench. There are now 3 cracks in the wrench head at the corners of flats. So now the wrench head was able to flex which rounded off the corners of the nut. I'm about out of ideas. I've got liquid wrench on it but that's not helping. I've thought about heating the nut with a torch and the putting some channel-locks on it. Without my 32mm wrench there is no room to put the fan pulley holder tool on the pulley.
