Right on. I drive a 525 and have realized that, being a smaller engine, I usually see 3200 just off a light. I consistently use what I call the "boost knob" in everyday driving. Let's face it, BMW made an underpowered car. With luggage my car sprints to 60 in a little under 10 secs. You just have to keep it up in those kinds of revs to make anything happen. Which, in my opinion, makes driving more fun.
