It's true that my automatic doesn't hit 6,000 RPM very often. However, I believe the torque gains from the JC chip are *maximized* at 4,000 RPM. That's an RPM range I reach far more often. And, if the maximum torque gain occurs at 4,000 RPM, you can bet that you'd feel some gain, and improved acceleration, below that level.
