What are the biggest rims i can fit on my car? (archive)

i have a 92 525i, i would like to know what the off set sizes are and the biggest set of rims that i can put on my car cause i was thinkin about putting 18 by 8 in the front and 18 by 8.5 in the rear but im afraid it might rub, how big do you people think i can go without rubbing????
