Just ordered 4 Bilsteins for my '93 525i (A). A bit (not much) of shimmy 55 - 60 mph. Will replace upper control arms/bushings, too. Seems like a matter not of if, but when.

Does the same rule apply to lower control arms? Should I replace them as a matter of course or wait to see if they are bad?

If they are bad, will have to wait to following weekend to finish job (will need to order parts). If they don't need replaced, save $120.00.

Don't mind spending the extra $120.00 to do it right, no big deal, yet if it is not necessary can apply the money to something else (chip, new rubber, etc., etc., etc.).
