Adding carseat anchors to a 95 5 Series (archive)

Has anyone tried retrofitting car seat anchors to a 95 5 Series?

I am not talking about the tethers that go from the top of the carseat back to the shelf behind the rear seat, that was pretty easy. What I am trying to do is put in the metal loops that come out where the seat cushion intersects the back of the seat. These are mandated on new cars and are really slick since you use them instead of the seat belt to hold the carseat in. Much easier in and out.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated as neither the local dealer nor BMWNA was willing to dicuss it. Liability concerns probably.
