I did the exact same thing with my 530i(5spd auto). Bentley stated the same amount and I ended up pouring about 5.5 quarts. Never could get an answer from anyone. I've checked many times since to see if the level is correct. ATF temp is important when checking the level, but I've checked cold and at above operating temprature with no difference. Sorry I can't help but you're not alone. Drew
I chnaged my ATF, filer and gasket yesterday. I followed the bently manual instructions, and all went well. They recommend I out 3.2 quarts, which I did and then check the fluid level when warm and the car in is Park running, which I did. My problem is that my fluid level is still showing low. Any know how much it actually tkes?
