I checked the pressure on the A/C system - too high!

I had 75 psi on the low side and 400-425 psi on the high pressure side. I've already ordered a receiver/drier. and high pressure switch. Should I replace any other parts while I'm at it? I think the A/C wasn't working because the high pressure switch was shutting off the compressor(as it should have been). What would cause excessive pressure?
