Hello, I am looking at a 95 540i for my wife. I have read however, about the engine blocks failing due to reaction with the sulphur in our gasoline. The BMWNA warranty runs out after 6 years...which is now. Has anyone had to replace their block? Is there a way to tell if the block needs replacing before I buy the car? If it does need replacing, what kind of costs would be involved?

I have been asking a lot of questions about the 540's over the last two days, I just want to thank all of you for your help!
